Fit For Life Personal Training to transform your way of life
I am a personal trainer focusing on women’s health, wellness and pelvic floor.
I love to exercise, be it in the gym, outside running or biking, taking the dog for a walk. I don’t have one of those stories where I was over weight as a child. I was doing every sport going at school, and swimming or running at weekends. I want my enthusiasm for exercise to rub off on you, so you can achieve those health and fitness goals you have always wanted.
My background is training as an international athlete in the sport of modern pentathlon. Since retiring from international sport I have qualified as a personal trainer and sport massage therapist. With my experience of training in five different sports I can show you the best and most functional ways to achieve the best results.
Exercising can be fun. My sessions don’t involve sitting on machines in gyms. In fact you don’t even need to be a member of a gym to do a good workout. Minimal equipment can be used to get great results in your home, garden or local park. I now train clients from my private studio in the centre of Bath, giving a personal environment so we can focus on your health and wellbeing.
I have been in the fitness world training clients since 2008, providing effective training sessions for women of all ages from 18 to 80 years!
I am passionate about helping women regain and restore their fitness both inside and out. I offer expert knowledge, encouragement and motivation to help you become fit for life – be it your teenage years and leaving home with some key exercise and nutrition strategies, to being fit for motherhood, to enjoying your retirement years with a spring in your step.
I believe it is important to work within a team to learn from others, which is why I work closely with a physio, chiropractor, and women’s health physio. See my useful links page for more details.
My take on fitness and wellbeing is threefold. A really important part is the mind set which often gets forgotten. Then nutrition makes up the next part of the triangle, with exercise joining the mix too. All three have to work together for a healthy lifestyle. My aim is to make these three elements as simple as possible to follow with in our busy lifes.
Personally I still like to challenge myself and feel having a goal to work towards is important, so I now compete in adventure racing and mountain bike events in my spare time. I am entered to do a toughmudder event in September, which is a run with lots of ridiculous obstacles in your way to slow you down! I will let you know how it goes. My next big challenge will be mountain biking in South Africa in the joberg2c event!
